My Graduate collection was “In the Dollhouse”, it was a collection of women’s wear created in 2009 inspired by two sources; Barbie’s 40^th birthday and Japanese ‘Harajuku’ street culture. The two inspirations combined to create a plastic-fantastic doll-like image that was vibrant and eclectic.

Due to the Barbie influence, the collection was created in miniature on porcelain dolls as well as for the catwalk models. This created a surreal and ironic relationship between a women’s wear collection inspired by a doll-like-image that was also replicated for dolls.

Items from the “In the Dollhouse” collection have appeared in exhibitions; Fairfields ‘Frock Shock’ Basingstoke 2009, Dimbola Graduate Show 2009, Southampton Solent University Graduates Shows 2009.
